Robbie
Est. Date of birth 1986
Male
My name is Robbie and I arrived at Ngamba in 1998. Until 2004 I was the alpha male but got thrown over by Eddie and then Mika. Even though I haven’t been in charge for a long time now, I am still big & strong and I also fathered Kyewunyo. She had a baby last year so now I’m a grandfather.
Our Story
Robbie (Profile of a defeated President)
I feel weird walking through the forest of Ngamba Island well knowing that someone else is giving the orders. But then again I am just some old defeated leader.
My name is Robbie and I am the second high ranking male at Ngamba Island. In 2004 my government was overthrown by Eddie with the help of Mika.
The battle took place for three days and I eventually gave in, I gave in for my family, most especially for my daughter Kyewunyo who at the time was just two years old.
You’ve all seen what happens to world leader’s families when their governments are over thrown, Chimpanzee politics is more less the same because the days that followed my downfall were the hardest.
Eddie and Mika bullied me to the core; they would take my food at leisure and also tout me and beat me whenever they needed something to beat.
In chimp news the headlines they wrote with their pant hoots were as bright as neon signs, ‘Eddie defeats Robbie’ but if you ask me the story would have been Robbie beats Eddie, bites off his toe while Mika plots on how to seize power.
Since it’s what happened there after as Ngamba Island was taken over by Mika after a couple of days. But that is Chimpanzee politics for you it just sucks that I can’t be President again but what brings me joy these days is the fact that I have a grandchild on this Island.
Such an adorable girl she is, I hope one day she becomes the high ranking female; I really want to live to see that day. Don’t you?
